The BGA contacted 127 individual fire departments in Cook County to get their fees. NBC5 Investigates contacted additional Chicago-area fire departments in other collar counties, and also used data obtained through an ambulance fee survey conducted by the City of Naperville, which was most recently updated in October of 2013.
